چکیده

Two patients are described who complained of dyspnoea and systemic symptoms. They were found to have angio-immunoblastic lymphadenopathy with extensive pulmonary involvement. In both cases, high dose corticosteroid therapy led to relief of symptoms and clearing of the diffuse radiographic shadowing seen in both lung fields.

Angio-immunoblastic lymphadenopathy: a case with a 17-year follow-up.

A case of angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy with a 17-year follow-up is reported. The patient, who first presented with benign hypergammaglobulinaemic purpura of Waldenstrom and autoimmune haemolytic anaemia appears to be the longest survivor with this condition reported so far. The marked variations in the clinical course of patients with angio-immunoblastic lymphadenopathy in conjunction wit...

A case of immunoblastic lymphadenopathy which underwent transformation into immunoblastic sarcoma is reported. A 64-year-old man presented with a rash, generalised lymphadenopathy, and hepatosplenomegaly. A cervical lymph node removed at biopsy showed the features of immunoblastic lymphadenopathy with the presence of heavy chain classes IgG, IgM, and IgA and both kappa and lambda light chain ty...

Immunoblastic lymphadenopathy--report of a case.

A case of immunoblastic lymphadenopathy has been presented which had the characteristic clinical and histological features. The patient did not respond to chemotherapy and succumbed to the disease. Instead of the usual polyclonal gammopathy associated with this condition, he showed a fall in IgM levels, IgG and IgA being within normal limits. The significance of the latter finding is not known.

CD3-CD4+ lymphoid variant of hypereosinophilic syndrome: nodal and extranodal histopathological and immunophenotypic features of a peripheral indolent clonal T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.

The CD3(-)CD4(+) lymphoid variant of hypereosinophilic syndrome is characterized by hypereosinophilia and clonal circulating CD3(-)CD4(+) T cells. Peripheral T-cell lymphoma has been described during this disease course, and we observed in our cohort of 23 patients 2 cases of angio-immunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. We focus here on histopathological (n=12 patients) and immunophenotypic (n=15) char...

B-cell lymphoma after angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy: a case with oligoclonal gene rearrangements associated with Epstein-Barr virus.

We describe a patient with angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy with dysproteinemia (AILD), who subsequently developed large-cell immunoblastic lymphoma of B-cell immunophenotype. At the time of the initial diagnosis, histologic examination of an inguinal lymph node showed typical features of AILD, and there was no evidence of a monoclonal B-cell population by immunohistochemical analysis. In sit...
